It is unfortunate that we have to depend on this. The funds generated from this helps us to be more than just a football pep band. There are many opportunities for you to earn money to help offset this. Check the CHARMS account to find out how you can do this!

How are your grades?
Keep up with your homework!
It is your responsibility to keep up with your classes. Band is an added responsibility that has to be included when you plan your week.
Get an agenda book and mark down test dates, assignments along with band rehearsals and performances. This will help you and your parents to get organized in planning your time. I use google calendars for many personal things when organizing my time. My symphony rehearsals, performances and family events are on a calendar so that I can be where I need to be at the right time. You need to manage your time wisely to create a good future for yourself!
NOTE: Missed rehearsals are not excused because of your failure to study at the right times. Check out the GRADING POLICIES PAGE
Band students should work on the following daily:
1) Scales. Work on them slowly at first. Learning them correctly is the most important thing you can do. Don't rush through them!
2) Music. Work on specific phrases until they are perfect. Don't try to perfect everything at once. How do you eat an elephant? ONE BITE AT A TIME!
3) Sight read. Play something new! Stretch your reading skills!
4) Play something for fun! That is what is all about!
BAND REHEARSAL THURSDAY WILL GO TO 5:30! WE WILL BE WORKING WITH THE DRUMLINE ON STAND MUSIC!
